Thirsty but short for time. Take a 4.5 hr wine tour through the wine route of the Rhine Valley wine regions of the Rheingau & Rheinhessen. Learn about the king of white wines.... Riesling and try juicy German Pinot Noir with vineyard views . Along the way, we will stop at award-winning, historically significant, Grand Cru German vineyards from noble Riesling estates. We will travel through small historic villages along the Rhine River as it curves its way down to Ruedesheim and also visit a winery for an in-depth tatsing about wines from the region You will taste a personal selection of wines that will give you an in-depth insight into the world of German wines from the Rhein valley Tour Highlights: * Hotel pick up and drop off Mainz or Wiesbaden area. (Frankfurt and additional €65 subliment) Tour time around 4 hrs. Start time based on consultation and is more flexible during summer and can even be nice as a late afternoon activity slurping wines into the sunset * tasting a variety of 18+ special wines from Grand cru sites and organic wineries * wine tasting at a historical winery * get close to nature with vineyards views of the Rhein valley * wine tapas picnic / snacks provided * Water * Service shipping wines for you (not inc shipping costs - avg €12-14 per bottle) Tour dates are flexible, please get in contact to let us know your preferred times and any wine requests. Pick up requests possible I believe wine is best shared with friends and more the merrier! Open wines & open minds! It can be during the busier travel times that I have to manage many thirsty requests of wine lovers coming to Germany. I always keep my groups small (max 7p ) usually its just another wine-loving couple who share your thirst! I always consider individual requests and keep it personal. PLEASE NOTE: If you WISH YOUR DAY TO BE A PRIVATE TOUR. An additional fee based on seasonal demand may be requested starting at €200 based on group size. An additional pick up fee maybe also requested based on more distant locations
