What a grape day sounds like

There is a bubbling, vibrant, natural and organic wine scene fermenting across Germany and its juice can now be found the world over is some of the best new wave wine bars & contemporary gourmet restaurants. Come and discover a new generation of winemakers producing sustainable, low intervention, cleaner and unique wines from regional varieties Riesling, Pinot, and other unique local grapes. Some of the most exciting regions for Natural, Organic and sustainable wines in Germany is Rheinhessen, Mosel and the Pfalz. We will go into the nature and behind the scenes meeting the makers to hear their story and how with a whole lot of heart and hand they work with nature to produce natural wines. Recommending to start our day from Mainz... ( Frankfurt also possible on request) we will head to the Rhein valley terraced vineyards for a first tasting from a small organic winey making wines from Riesling and Pinot varieties From there we will be going deeper into Rheinhessen limestone hills, across some stunning countryside on the search for "up and coming" organic & natural wines from boutique producers. On the way we will stop for an organic picnic on the go of regional wine tapas, cheese, baked goods with vineyard views. (based on weather ... if rainy/ too hot we will stop at a regional weinstube for lunch) Included: Tour and tasting at 3 wineries focused on lofi/natural wines of all shades ( white wine, red wine, rosé and orange) or biodynamic wines. Lunch of wine tapas/ regional, cheese, charcuterie treats . Scenic vineyard views for pictures, Refreshments. Help shipping wine. Possible to visit the regions of Mosel or Pfalz on consultation. * Tour can be designed custom to taste… considering … ( some natural wine makers work independently and are therefor quite busy working in the vineyards / cellar) so based on availability and starting location region and winery visits will be recommended.
